Enhancing good writing

This is a writing weblog to celebrate the Writing of Third Graders at J.H. House Elementary School in Rockdale County. The Third Grade Teachers are:

Mrs. Tanner
Ms. Rikard
Mr. Lane
Mrs. McCullers

The teachers will select writings of children who have worked hard to produce good writing pieces. We hope to spotlight each and every child over the next few months.

We welcome you to use the comment feature to let our children know what you think of their writing! They would love to hear from you!

By the way, the name of this weblog was chosen because we live in Rockdale County and we think that writing is one of the very most important things that our children can learn.
Also, it can be a lot of fun! This is why we picked the name "Writer's Rock!"

What a great idea for a blog...selecting writings of children who have worked hard to produce good writing pieces and spotlighting each and every child as time goes by. Count on me to comment on your students' writing!

Greetings from down under! I am a University student in Melbounre, Victoria, Australia; studying to be a primary school teacher. I wanted to learn about weblogs, so somehow ended up looking at yours. It's great to see all your writing. In Australia, people don't really say 'you're welcome'. But we are very used to hearing it from all the American films and TV shows we watch. However I hope Aussies are polite and use thier manners. Keep up your writing. Cheers, Sue
